Facilities |
Hostel Facility
The University Hostel facility is available to a limited number of the
students. Every full-time student, at the time of admission, is required
to select the place of his residence for the academic year and to state
in it in the admission form. A student who makes a false statement
regarding the place of residence is liable to punishment which may be
amount of expulsion. Change of residence shell be communicated to the
college office within 10 days of the change.
Transport

The University
Transport facility is also available to all University Students,
Teachers and Employees.
Computer Lab
Facility
The University Law
College maintains a Network with more than 100 computers, air
conditioned computing labs, consisting of 20 computers for LL.B. 10
computers for B.A. LLB Hons students, 05 computers for Ph.D Students and
05 computers for LL.M students. All faculty members already have P-IV
computers with LCD monitors in their own offices.
The Labs have high speed 64K ISDN internet facility as well.
Health
Facility
The University provides
medical support to both resident and day students as well as employees
and their families. Three thousand employees of the University and their
families including widows, mothers and children are entitled to free
medical treatment. Medical facilities are also available to retired
employees and their families. The University has its own Radiology,
Biochemistry,
Pathology Departments and Dental Clinic with a full time Dental
Surgeon. More than 600 patients visit the University clinics daily.
Emergency services are also available. The University helps to
provide treatment in local Government hospitals for seriously ill
patients.
In addition, the University has established a model health
service. At present the medical staff consists of one Chief Medical
Officer, (Consultant Physician), three Senior Medical Officers, two
lady Medical Officers, five Medical Officers, one Dental Surgeon,
one Ophthalmologist and one part-time Radiologist.
The Medical cover begin provided to university employees and
students includes
i) Medical advice and consultation.
ii) Gynecological and ante natal management.
iii) Dental care.
iv) Ophthalmic care.
v) Provision of required medicines.
vi) Ambulance service.
vii) Diagnostic facilities including E.C.G., X-ray, a clinical
laboratory and ultra sonography.
viii) Short wave diathermy and physiotherapy
ix) Hospitalization expenses are also covered by the University
Library Facility
The WMU is maintaining a
Library with approximately 1,20,000 books. Law Reports, Journals,
Reviews and other material representing the various legal system of the
world are available. The Library is open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on all
working days. A separate reading is provided for Teachers and
Postgraduate students
